About

A mother-daughter training team with deep agility roots

Paws N' Reflect grew from a family training history that started in the 1990s and stayed anchored in agility, handling, and positive dog training.

Meet the daughter

Paws N' Reflect was founded by a mother-daughter team who both started agility in the 1990s. The daughter began competing as a Junior Handler in Obedience and Junior Showmanship before catching the agility bug.

She started with her Siberian Husky, Sheena, in Obedience, then her Pembroke Welsh Corgi in Obedience and conformation. Agility with her Border Collie, Lance, made the sport stick for good.

Meet Barbara Bounds

Barbara began her journey in agility while driving her daughter all over for trials, then started her own agility career after keeping a puppy from a home-bred Corgi litter.

After years of competing, Barbara became an AKC Agility Judge in 2010. She has spent years traveling across the country, learning from top handlers, and bringing that experience back to her students.

What shapes the program

  • Hands-on agility experience from the 1990s forward
  • AKC judging experience and class progression insight
  • One-on-one coaching when a dog or handler does not fit a group format
  • Clear, practical communication instead of vague advice

Our commitment to positive dog training

Positive training and safety come first. The goal is a strong working relationship between dog and handler on the agility field and in real life, built in a positive and safe environment.

Paws N' Reflect is here for teams who want structure, honest coaching, and a training path that supports both dog and handler.

Train with a team that knows the sport and the work behind it

Start with classes, a private appointment, or a consult if your dog needs more individual planning before stepping into a group.
